Fishers

This is a fellowship of young believers that mainly caters to teenagers who attend the 9 o'clock service. We started in 2008 and we are still going strong by the grace of GOD.

Activities

Worship Services:

  • We meet in the old church from 0900hrs to 1045 except on the first Sunday of the month where we meet in church hall 1 aka old hall.
  • We have holy Communion every 2nd Sunday of the month.

Bible Study:

We have Bible Study every first and third Sunday of the month. In the study, we follow a study guide and we do this in small groups with a group leader facilitating the discussions.

Camps:

Once every year, we retreat for a week in a venue out of the church to share, learn and grow together as young believers. We take care of our social, spiritual and physical needs.

Hikes & Lunches:

Every now and then, we organize outdoor activities for our members as well as have lunches and combined services with our Parents every holiday.

Outreaches to Children's Homes:

Since we are surrounded by people in need, we visit children's homes e.g hawa & Tumaini and also prisons to minister the word of God and reach out to them with the love of Christ.

Leadership Development:

To enhance continuity in FISHERS, we strive to have leadership development and training for our young leaders. There are mentorship plans in place amongst the leaders where the older fishers reach out to the younger ones and walk with them.

Jesus said to them, Come follow me, and I will make you FISHERS of Men - Mark 1:17

Cross Roads

Crossroads is a program designed to facilitate the transition for our young adults (12 to 14 years) mostly class 8’s and or Year 8/9's as they come of age through Christ-centered adolescent rites of passage experiences (ROPES).

The program is 1 year long and incorporates both in class and out of class experiences. We have 2 sleepovers over the year separate for boys and girls in April and August.

Our year culminates in a week-long camp that seeks to transit the participants through experiential and transformational activities and tasks that stretch their abilities as well as provide an environment for personal reflection and meditation.

Mission

To grow responsible individuals grounded in God's word.

Vision

To create a lasting transformational impact.

Meeting:

9:00 a.m to 10:30 a.m in the Youth office.
