In obedience to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to take the gospel to all the nations (Matt 28:19), St Andrew’s Church views the world as its “field of work.”
Therefore, one of the avenues/pillars of church ministry is outreach to people for Jesus Christ. The outreach is not only within the Parish boundaries, but St Andrew’s will also assist or support extending God’s kingdom in other areas in Kenya, where the Parish is invited to work, subject to availability of resources. The work also extends to institutions such as schools, prisons and prisons, universities and colleges, hospitals.
The philosophy is based on the fact that it is God’s will that His Kingdom expands from a smallness to bigness to become attractive -both in faith and in numbers. [Mark 4: 30-32]
30Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.” 33With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand. 34He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.
