Thanksgiving is the language of faith that magnifies God. It’s not thanking God for problems; rather, it’s carrying a spirit of thanksgiving. Family, gratitude, and thankfulness are the true meaning of Thanksgiving. The Thanksgiving celebration is considered by many to be a family event. An important part of Thanksgiving is a family coming together.
Thanksgiving is without limits: You give thanks for everything and in everything; when you are happy, sad, angry, pleased, sick, rich, poor, etc. No matter what the family is going through, Thanksgiving is appropriate; it is an expectation in God’s agenda, it is suitable for all situations and applicable to everything. In Biblical culture, Thanksgiving is applicable to everything.
"Thanksgiving" is not just a heart attitude; it is a powerful kingdom principle. It is a powerful force that moves the heart of God and opens the gates of heaven over your life. Faith has a language, and “Thanksgiving” is that language. Learning to speak the language of faith is not difficult – it starts with “thank you”.
As family sources of thanksgiving are uncountable: You would never be able to fully document the reasons and sources of thanksgiving. You can run out of prayer points but you can never run out of thanksgiving. No matter where you are, you have a reason to thank God.
"Thanksgiving, after all, is a word of action." - W.J. Cameron
